Nick had recently fled an abusive relationship with his two children and was living in a hostel who referred him in to Safety Net (UK). Nick presented with signs of anxiety including panic attacks and nightmares, he was unable to enter the community without looking over his shoulder for his ex-partners car and felt overwhelmed about finding a home and a job.

The integrated support team collaborated with the housing team in supporting the client to move to a new home, and organised a visit from the community safety team to help him and his children feel safe.

Nick explored ways of managing anxiety, self-care and re-connecting with his children. He attended sessions at the job center with his worker and enrolled onto a College course. Nick also accessed support around benefits and finances and is no longer in debt, and feeling positive about life.
